The first weekend in Brazil was quite busy as we had a trips planned for both Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday we went to Ouro Petro, a former mining city about 2 hours south-east from Belo Horizonte. First we went to a beautiful national park with a waterfall in a cave (no pictures, just memories!), enjoying the landscape and nature. The national park was followed by a city walk and coffee in Ouro Petro.
Thanks to Jefferson for guiding us and taking us out at night!
On Sunday we went to one of our clients house outside BH and went for a short hiking tour. Despite the fact that we had sun-rain-wind-sun-rain-sun-rain-sun we enjoyed the walk in the mountains surrounding the area of Belo Horizonte. And because you “cannot make friends drinking milk” we brought our own food and used Joanne’s kitchen to cook more-or-less local food from our home countries. After a delicious meal we hang out at the veranda and had a great time together….
Thanks to Joanne from Casa do Jardim for the invitation, the hike and sharing the kitchen!
